Lord knows I'm a bit of a technogeek, but apparently I'm a technogeek of little faith, because find myself AMAZED at the stuff my new mobile phone can do.
Sure, I go to conferences and they talk about WAPs, designing content for wireless, people using phones as locator devices, etc., but today I actually got my phone to do that stuff!
I have T-Mobile and with their T-Zones service, I can actually send and check email (set-up took like 10 seconds), get directions, news... Jeez, it's just like on TV. I didn't expect that it would be so easy to use or the handy stuff on there. For example, I can go into T-Zones and in around a minute, find the closest CVS, locate a restaurant, movie theater, then I can just click the phone and call if I want. Or get directions via Mapquest. And it's not hard to use or anything, which is what my conferences had made me believe. It's all done in menus, completely easy to figure out.
Gotta be the raddest gadget ever. I'm sure I'll get over it, but right now, had to play Show & Tell.
