Go Fish --> Fish Go

Well, in case we need another hint that our world is stumbling onto its last legs:

CNN.com: Study: Only 10 percent of big ocean fish remain
http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/science/05/14/coolsc.disappearingfish/index.html

A new global study concludes that 90 percent of all large fishes have disappeared from the world's oceans in the past half century, the devastating result of industrial fishing.

The study, which took 10 years to complete and was published in the international journal Nature this week, paints a grim picture of the Earth's current populations of such species as sharks, swordfish, tuna and marlin.

Of course it's inevitable the fishing industry and associated countries' governments will deny everything and say all is A-OK.

P.S. I promise to start posting about my trip soon as I can; right now I am running some long overdue log analysis and surfing around before the info. comes back.

The Good, The Bad

To begin my trip recap, here are two lists I made up, in no particular order, as I can't be bothered to rank :

I was going to put public transit on the good list but every English person bitches and moans about it so I guess it probably goes on the not-so-wonderful list as well so EH, screw it. I personally had good experiences and was really impressed. Hell, as I said to Gabby, "Well, you at least HAVE trains!" Plus after seeing the M-6... crap, it's obvious the highways aren't a better way.
