Today's story about the teacher washing a kid's mouth of with soap brought me back to all the (thankfully soapless) punishments I received, almost all of them in grade school. And out of morbid curiousity, I'm curious what other people out there experienced. If you like, a poll. (Note this is only based on punishment in school, not at home or elsewhere. Also, I'm not counting corrective actions like parent conference, counseling or other things which are not punishment but aimed to improve things.)
P.S. The poll has some booboos. For example, it's supposed to "I had to copy out student pledge" and "I had to write 'I will no ____' 100+ times" -- but the quotes threw it off. Also, I forgot to mention detention, but then detention is the one punishment I never got!
Anyway, people often sort of stare at me blank-faced when I mention this, but you know, picture DO help. To that end, recently posted on the Skyscarper Forums: Albany 1 and Albany 2.
P.S. And I don't care about the snow. I might possibly even get a (itty little bitty, possibly electric) car there. *choke*
