Caleb did something very, very wonderful and generous tonight. I may possibly have to erect a statue of him in my living room. Either that or be really, REALLY nice to him all month. Actually I shouldn't have much reason to be cross with him because he has been a much nicer person over the last few months and we rarely fight. Anyway, I owe him major peace of mind.
You know, is it my imagination, or is Slate really, really annoying? It reminds me of our local "alternative" newspaper Creative Loafing, which I stopped reading a couple of years ago because I found it a hostile, whiney and stupid. AlterNet I like because it takes stuff published all over, cream of the crop, whereas Slate just seems like it's got a stable-ful off people with an axe to grind. And it's a conservative axe, seems to me.
I've really been enjoying this little bottle of Bramble blackberry liquer I bought in England. It's a local Sussex wine. It did taste really familiar though. Finally just now I realized it tastes pretty much like Manischewitz kosher blackberry wine, which I used to buy a lot but not so much now. This is good to know because while I had to get this small bottle imported and it cost like $10, I know I can get a HUGE bottle Manischewitz for like $6. Ain't life grand! Next time I'm in Publix I'll have to remember. That stuff is yum!
