I woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn't sleep, so from 5 to 6 I played PopCap games. Then I fell asleep finally.
Woke up at 8:45 and at 9:10 Caleb IM'd me saying he was going to Alon's in 10 minutes. I jumped into some clothes and went with him. We took the bus, got our stuff, ate quickly, then went home again. I finished my mocha here while reading the paper.
I think I will attempt to pick up my bedroom today. It's been total chaos for a week now. I can navigate through easily, even find my clothes in the dark, but only because of my secret powers.
Some muscle in my inner thigh is spasming and every time it does, I can see my leg jiggle. It looks like I've got a beating heart in my leg.
Sometimes clenaing my bedroom feels like an archaeology dig.
I finally decided to address the lint accumulated in the washer/dryer closet (in my bedroom, oddly) and by the time I was done, I had a basketball-sized lint wad. It's now wrapped in a plastic bag, for health and sanitary reasons. Did I mention I have been under treatment for dust allergies for over a year now? I think it must be working, as this whole cleaning thing is not the torture it used to be. I'm also washing three loads worth of bedding, towels, and clothing. And picking up the room. I found six pairs of shoes on the floor as well as six pairs of tights. Two purses, two belts, half a dozen books. Yeah, archaeology dig is right.
Meanwhile by the end of this weekend I will have reconfigured my two closets as well as my clothes armoire. I'm going to try to put the two racks and storage cube-set (formerly used for my entertainment system) to use inside the closets. The big job is going to be cleaning out the one & only true "storage" closet I have, which is narrow and half-filled with the water-heater. It's packed to the gills and I think I'm going to throw out or give away about half of what's in there. Or at least organize it better. Some stuff, like the huge freight container of my writings & projects from childhood, I can't toss, but other stuff, like the toy sewing machine I never use, is gone, gone, gone. I will feel great satisfaction over this.
