The usual boring Christmas Day

I woke up at 7:30 today because my nephew Owen was awake downstairs with Tom. I went down and read three Clifford books to him, then played with him. I showed him pictures of Abbie and YinYang on my computer. I stayed up until around 9:30, when Tom, Cathy and Owen left to go to Cathy's mother in Vermont. Then I got sleepy and went to bed again. Actually Mom and Dad did too, so it was pretty much a usual Christmas, LOL. When I woke up, Dad had made a turkey soup with the turkey bones from yesterday. Delicious! Since then I've been working on my computer, some projects and updates that came in to me in the past week. Also had more soup and tea. How exciting! I think I'm about to fall asleep again. Maybe I will go for a walk instead.

From thefridayfive

Yes, I am bored.

1) What word irks you everytime you hear someone say it?

Axed... as in "I axed you a question." Also: when somebody says "liberry" instead of "library." Those are pronunciation things. The phrase "the liberal media" also irks me.

2) What is your favorite word?

Can't think what my fav English word is, so I'll go with one of my fav German words, Nacktschnecke.

3) What does it mean?

Nacktschnecke = "naked snail" = slug.

4) What word do you say far too often?

Also: f*ck.

5) Name three words you think other people overuse:

ironic, cool, "cyber-"anything
