What is the term for this?

I'm looking for a term to describe this noise Luckie makes. Using onomatopoeia, I'd say it's rwwwrrrrar! It's kind of a hybrid of a meow and a purr and she makes it when she's running or jumping around. It sounds like she's buzzing or making some kind of whirring sound. I gather it's a happy sound, like "Wheeeeeee!" or "Tada!" as she makes it as she's running somewhere fast or jumps onto the bed. She's making it right now because she's bouncing off the walls ever since I closed the door to the bedroom to let the birds fly around.

I have a resolution to a previous anomaly:

For the past couple of weeks I've been puzzled by the fact that one of the MARTA train operators keeps announcing that Peachtree Center is the stop for "the Paramount." I was sure it was some kind of weird joke of his, since the Paramount theater was demolished years and years ago. Well, today he said it again and my brain thought, "Hmm, I wonder if he's saying something else." And lo and beyold, when I thought it over, he was saying "the Apparelmart." Which, if you are a train driver taking on a not-so-hot PA system and using an Atlanta accent, comes out as "the Paramart"... or "the Paramount."

Meanwhile, NEW anaomaly:

Two people arriving on the train platform at Peachtree Center, where the southbound train is about to close its doors and move on. Both of them are yelling, "Wait, wait!" and waving their arms. But they're not running or even walking fast. They aren't carrying anything and don't have any obvious physical impediments. They just seem to think walking normal pace is cool. Half a dozen people, including myself, nearly stopped in our tracks starting at these people.

I'm about to get called for my interview. I am so nervous suddenly! Staying in my chair here, or I'll trip over something, I know. And I'm shutting the office door, so Luckie doesn't do something crazy while I'm on the phone.

Sexual Harassment

New info on sexual harassment at U.S. colleges & universities is getting a lot of publicity. I think that's great... though I never experienced that personally. I had exactly ONE professor who was a total jackass, but that assessment of mine has nothing to do with him harassing me, more like harrassing the notion of education.

The number one place I've been sexually harassed? The streets, buses and trains of Atlanta. And the most serious sexual harassment I've ever experience -- actual touching -- occured when I was working as a page at the public library and this horrible old Indian "library monitor" went after me and the other girl pages for months. Until he stupidly cornered one in a closet and got his ass busted.

Job Hunt Update 4

I have to say, I am really surprised at how many jobs at out there at the moment! I think the whole webmaster market must be in an up-cycle again. Not only are there lots of jobs that fit my skills, but a lot of them seem to be in my target locations, i.e. Downtown, Midtown. Lucky me! Today I even had several recruiters emailing me after seeing my info on Monster.com, ComputerJobs.com, etc. A few of these were for jobs I just don't think I'm qualified for, but hey, some were ones that sounded good.

Tomorrow I have my interview with the software company. Black suit time again!
