That white stuff

I don't often get the chance to say this, so take note: It's snowing out!

Not like it's sticking to anything but, you can see it. It's really windy out so it's flying around like the world's a snowglobe or something. Meanwhile Caleb and I just saw people walking around with umbrellas. Umbrellas? Yes, that will be so useful! LOL.

Sunday blechs

I feel so gross today. First, had a hard timing waking up, then when I did, even when I showered, I was still groggy. Then I took my medicine, which for some reason really disagreed with me. I think perhaps it didn't go all the way down my throat, as I've been burping and feeling like I'm going to puke or something. Ew. So I snuggled in my bed, just to wait for my stomach to settle, but I fell asleep. I've drunk a bunch of water and ate lunch, but I still feel icky and tired. Bah. It's Sunday, but I do have stuff to do, alas.

Blaaaaaaah

I continue to feel like complete crap. No fever, no cough, no runny nose like I have a cold, but ugh, I feel yuck. Tired, achey, tummy feels unsettled, and I am completely without motivation. I think I could just stare at the wall all afternoon.

Snapping out of it

So it's 7 p.m. and finally I'm feeling a bit better.

My medicine:

Watched Wizard of Oz 1 1/2 times -- the second half of the commentary and then all the way through with just the music/background/FX track. I think that may make my 101st viewing of that movie! LOL. Been obsessed since I was a wee one and now I have the recently released super-deluxe restored version with all the extras, so... yeah... I indulged. I've already watched just about all the extras and watched the actual restored movie twice at least. Can't get enough!

Took 2 iron pills. I figured maybe low iron was contributing to the lethargy. I don't eat meat and can't think what else I've eaten with iron in it recently, so couldn't hurt.

Nice dinner of vegies roast w/olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary. Included half-bunch of aspagus, big potato, two carrots, 1/2 a bulb of garlic, and a large onion. Mmmm!

Now I feel pretty awake and "together." No clue what I'm going to do now.

Am I reading this right?

Um, let's just say I'm surprised here.

Republicans' Report on Katrina Assails Response
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/13/politics/13katrina.html

House Republicans plan to issue a blistering report on Wednesday that says the Bush administration delayed the evacuation of thousands of New Orleans residents by failing to act quickly on early reports that the levees had broken during Hurricane Katrina.

Democrats had declined to join the committee, fearing to be part of a whitewashing, but in the end they were pleased.

Er, which once again makes me wonder what the HOLY HELL is going on with the Democrats in DC.
