Friday Five

1. Do you like chicken?
I love LIVE chicks and chickens. But I don't eat chicken as meat now. Even when I did, I didn't like it all that much. Turkey is better, and so is corned beef. Neither of which I eat, because I only eat meat on vacation. (Sorry, can't miss my parents' roast beef or options like liverwurst on rye.)

2. What is one food you can't live without?
Whipped cream. A life without whipped cream would just be so sad.

3. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
A night owl would be in bed now.

4. Chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate! I love the smell of vanilla oil though.

5. Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
More of a dog person but I get along very well with cats and pretty much all animals. The other day I watched on of those "Most Extreme" shows on "horrific" animals and I didn't understand why any of them were "horrific" since they were all either cool or cute in their own way. I even like leeches.

Whoah, has today been LONG.

First off, that decongestant had me revved up ALL DAY. It was just like when I was on Allegra D a few years ago -- instead of getting drowsy on the stuff like the box warned I might, I got completely wired. I was like that all day, 5x as productive as usual, I swear, until after 5 o'clock! I wrote a 10-page web standards document in about four hours, plus continued building out a site in RedDot, took care of tech support and update issues, and wrote up a weekly report.

At the end of the day I got paid. Yes, my SECOND paycheck!

On the way home I got a 7-Layer at Taco Bell, ate it, and fell asleep on the couch listening to NPR. The drug finally wore off, or at least my body's tiredness took over for a bit.

Then Caleb called and we went out for some adventures. First we took the train up to Lindbergh, because he'd heard the new Home Depot, which he'd helped do the zoning for years ago, was open, but turned out it wasn't. So instead we walked over to this townhouse and condo complex his company designed! Then we went back to the station and down to Midtown, where we got off the train to go around Midtown. I got a blueberry smoothie and Caleb went to CVS to get some medicine for something.

When we got back to my place, my pedometer showed I'd walked over 10,000 steps today. I am SO going to win that Downtown walking challenge!

Caleb and I watched the Travel Channel afterward, a show on a haunting in San Diego (we love Most Haunted) and another one on mysteries at the Smithsonian. All in all, very satisfying!
