Imajica

So Imajica is turning really good. In fact, to my surprise, it reminds me a lot of Storm's stuff. First there are the hilariously bizarre names (people, places, animals), then there are extremely weird things going on behind mundane-looking doors, and then there are just scenes that are SUCH scenes she would do. About the only thing I don't like so far? The sex scenes. Between the fact they're het and they're written by a man, I'm just like "Ugh, get it over with already!" So in that respect, definitely not like Storm ;)

Boot camp continues

Today's boot camp was killer. Seriously, it was hard!

Here's a run-down of what our instructor/trainer Mike had us do:

  1. Go half-way down the length of the club and back doing side-squats.
  2. Go half-way down and back doing side lunges.
  3. Go half-way down and back doing frontal lunges.
  4. 5-6 sets of jump-roping, at 30-60 second length.
  5. Routine of boxing 10 hits, sprinting length of club and back, 20 squats, 10 push-ups, 20 crunches -- five times!
  6. 5 laps, running.
  7. More jump-roping, combined with sprinting: jump rope 30 seconds, sprint club and back, jump... about 5 times. With double-sprints at the end.
  8. Alternating with partner, 3 reps on weight equipment, at max weight we can handle -- 20 jumping jacks between each set.
  9. 3-4 different ab crunch exercises, either 30 seconds or 25x each.
  10. Leg stretches

Meanwhile I went home, had dinner, read some of Imajica and fell asleep. When I woke up my chest was really sore. I think something about all the panting I did today while running -- especially at the end when I *sprinted* for real -- messed me up somehow. My chest feels really tight, almost like before I went on Singulair to cure my perennial lung irritation. I think my lungs are just fatigued. I am taking Thursday off from the gym and going in Friday.
