Sleeping all day, Project Runway

So I basically slept ALL day, then started actually getting to work around 6. I'm totally putting a homemade warning label on that allergy medication, saying "WILL Cause Drowsiness." Ugh. I swear I almost fell asleep at 5:30 again but I forced myself not to. Anyway, I've been doing edits on web sites and replying to emails all night -- got a huge back up.

I also was tuned into Bravo, watching the mom/sister challenge episode, which I missed when it aired, and latest episode of Project Runway, basically the only weekly show I watch. Totally bummed out Vincent was offed, though I agree his couture gown was not "all that." I also was annoyed at some of the remarks made re Kayne's gown and his supposed lack of taste, because I think his stuff is fabulous. It's been called tacky, which is maybe why I like it? Understatement isn't a favorite style choice of mine, unless you're talking about black. Jeffrey won this round with this insane yellow plaid cotton gown that really wasn't my cup of tea, though it was pretty daring. I wonder what malibran thought of it.

New bookcover

I posted about this on a couple of Storm & Immanion Press related sites, but meanwhile, lookie at the new bookcover I did for the second book in the A Dream and a Lie trilogy.

Larger version here

The image is a photo manip of a shot I took last summer when Caleb, Dagmar and I visited the roof of the Duomo (cathedral) in Milan. The first book had a shot I took of the Koelner Dom (Cologne Catherdral) and the final book will have the bell tower at the Duomo in Florence.

The book is available for pre-order off the Immanion Press web site and, like the first book, it rocks. More info on the book series Fiona McGavin's web site

Zzzzz ahhhhh zzzzzzzz

Woke up around 8:20 and then my building's shrieking fire alarm went off. I sluggishly pulled on some clothes but half way through, the alarm stopped. So I got back in bed and slept 'til around 10. And had weird dreams.

I am still really tired. It feels sort of like when I was taking Lexapro, and would crash out several times a day. Not sure what the deal is, but sleeping all the time really isn't very productive, so I hope I can get over it.

Job Hunt Update

Every time I search the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's online employment classifieds, my old job comes up. How annoying! On the other hand, I guess I'm running the right searches.

Flatlining

I thought I had a Dragon*Con hangover, but after several days, I think it might be something else. It started Sunday, got worse Monday, kept on Tuesday, and yesterday -- with help from some allergy meds -- forced me into sleeping all day. Today I managed to get up, but I feel like I'm lost in a fog. I also feel that same sort of hopeless, don't-want-to-do-anything-but-nothing feeling I associate with depression, except without the crying part. I'm going to go work out today and hope that wakes me up somewhat, but I'm not sure it will. I've had so much damn pep the past few months, with the exercise and having a job that challenged me, and now I'm just suffering ennui.
