From fridayfiver - Medical

1. How are you feeling?
OK. It's a slow, quiet day at work, so nothing to excite me good or bad. No headache or major depression, however.

2. When is the last time you went to the doctor?
Last week when I had my monthly appointment with the psychiatrist treating me for depression. For medical, skipping over my monthly allergy shots, it was an annual checkup with my allergist back in January.

3. Ever broken a bone?
No. This seems surprising considering how often I've fallen, smashed into things, etc., until you realize I have really strong, thick bones. I may get cut up and bruised (there's *always* some huge bruise or cut on me) but I don't break.

4. Ever had surgery?
Nope.

5. When is the last time you were in a hospital?
Skipping over regular doctor visits (my doctor's office is at Crawford Long Hospital) and the fact I walk by *three* major hospitals every day, last May when I visited my Dad at Lawrence General. I personally have never been a patient at a hospital, except for a couple times as a kid when I was taken to the emergency room for stupid stuff.

5 More!

From thefridayfive...

1. If you could retroactively erase one TV show from the history of entertainment, which one would you choose?
I Love Lucy. Am I the only one who finds this show totally UNfunny?

2. Are you more like your mother or your father?
I'm really an amalgam of both, but I'd have to say my mother mostly, because there are so many things we share, from our love of licorice to our total slobhood. I tend to think the main things I get from my dad are rather negative things, like stubborness, temper, and a tendency to worry.

3. If you could take a year-long vacation, what would you do?
Write and travel.

4. Can you think of a reason not to answer this question?
-

5. What's the nicest thing you've ever done for someone?
One thing that stands out in my mind is a small thing, the time I stopped on my way to work to loan an umbrella to a man in a wheelchair waiting to board a commuter bus in the pouring rain.
