Less cat drama, yay

The cats were MUCH better last night. I closed off the bedroom so it would just be Luckie and me. Surprisingly Sofie didn't cry but could be heard loudly chasing toys around. Luckie slept with me first, then around five I seem to remember she was gone so I let Sofie back in and she slept with me. Both of them are very relaxed now, though of course they aren't anywhere near one another :) Key point: Distance.

The thought occurs to me that my work being what it is, I can share some of my recent projects here!

Emory Day at the National Press Club:
America's Health: Choices and Tipping Points

This page was created to support an event in Washington. It started with the picture, bios and related press releases, then grew to include the actual presentations... and today I finished adding sound clips. I edited the clips from 1 1/2 hours of audio. Content-wise, if you're worried about America's health system... well, you should be.

I know, I know, very original title. But this is my start on a landing page for multimedia I've been gathering, including video, audio and slide shows. Plus the ubiquitous Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Press Release:
Ape Gestures Offer Clues to the Evolution of Human Communication

Typical press release... although I will note that this particular one, once sent out via our media contact system (that's me) was picked up by hundreds of news outlets around the world, including the NY Times, BBC News, places in Australia, India, etc.

WHSC At a Glance
I admit this mini-site looks really dated, but it's exactly what I was asked to do: convert a little brochure to the web. It's handy for figuring out exactly what my work (WHSC) is, however!
