In Dreams

Gah. Woke up from one of those stranglehold dreams. They're not about strangling and aren't even nightmares, but they must either immobilize or contort my body to such a degree that when I wake up, I feel like I've been wrestling for like an hour.

*clears head*

It was in one of the several "alternative NYC" settings my brain returns to again and again. Caleb and I were there for a weekend trip or something. At one point I went out for a walk with my two-wheeled cart and was looking for the costume jewelry district (only exists in this particular "NYC") and got disoriented when I discovered that a whole block, around 22nd St. and Fifth or something, had been blown up. Meanwhile I somehow got tangled up in a wedding taking place at this ridiculously bucolic church that in no way should have been on Manhattan. So I snuck by there and started looking for this natural foods place I remember (in RL) being at 22nd and 3rd. I couldn't find it, but I *could* find a baseball diamond over by FDR Drive.

Other bits from the dream: 1) clothes shopping at a discount couture shop, 2) finding a ghetto Chinese food / adult entertainment shop, 3) gourmet food shopping with Caleb at a place that made you bring your own containers and 4) apartment hunting in NYC and finding apartments that had curtains instead of walls.

*head still muddled*
