What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Did you sit through it or walk out? What made it so dreadful?
Boom in the Moon, a 1940s Mexican movie starring Buster Keaton at a seriously low point in his career. Production values of... well, worse than a high school play, but advertised on the box as a "Keaton classic." I saw it in middle school during my Keaton obsession and was so offended by it that I wrote Leonard Maltin. He included my review rec - BOMB -- in his annual movie reference guide. In writing me a back (a very sweet, non-patronizing letter) he referred me to a Keaton film distributor, who wound up sending me a free copy of The General and some shorts. Yes, really!
