Was there something you were afraid of as a child that just seems silly to you now?
I was convinced, as young as 12 or 13, that I wouldn't make it past 30, envisioning either mental illness or I guess some spectacular rock-and-roll-plus-Poe flame-out or suicide. But now that I'm 35 and am doing better mentally than ever, I think I can rest easy.
And OK, that wasn't really a "silly" fear but it's what popped into my head. For "silly" fears, I don't have to look back to my childhood. I know that for a whole while, maybe just a few years ago, my overly imaginative brain kept worrying about me getting run over by invisible cars. Yes, really. But I'm over it now! LOL
