i had this whole idea of how i'd be getting ready to leave, final preparations, including setting up my insurance, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, instead i have to spend like two fucking hours on the phone with my web hosting company.
i cannot believe their incompetence -- or the fact that none of these sales reps, billing clerks or tech support people has at any times said "sorry" even though they obviously screwed up!
the latest news is that no, the domain isn't pointing wrong, but that the account was frozen for non-payment! this is insane, since my client paid me and payment is supposed to come automatic. true, the fact i didn't notice this points to poor accounting but GOD, that was 1 1/2 years ago and they suddenly freeze/delete the account the day before i'm going on a freaking trip?!
so these lovely people have had me do "backpayment" and now i have to set up a whole new account for my client. in the meantime all the records of the pop email addresses i had set up for him are gone, so i have to do them all over again. i at least have all the web site files but aaaaaaaaaargh, SHIT, that is super super super annoying.
i rarely do this but...
